Where to Dance Salsa & Bachata in Madrid
Madrid has one of Europe's most vibrant Latin dance scenes, running every night of the week across a city that barely sleeps. The scene is split between the Centro (Sol, Malasaña, Argüelles) and the southern Atocha area — both within easy metro distance of each other.

Tips for visitors
- 🕙Madrid starts late — clubs fill after midnight. Don't arrive before 11 PM (except Jowke and Mitty Cats, which start from 19:30).
- 💳Entry fees are typically €5–15, usually including one drink. Bring cash as backup.
- 🚇The metro runs until ~1:30 AM (extended on Fri/Sat). Use Uber or Cabify after hours.
- 🗓️ Best nights: Thursdays and Fridays at Azúcar, any weeknight at The Host, Sundays at Mitty Cats (central) or Jowke in Alcorcón (biggest social in the area).
- 🌍Madrid's scene skews very international — South American expats make up a large part of the regular crowd, and the standard of dancing is high.
